HWE ICB Primary Care Research Forum
To further support individuals, practices, PCNs and Advanced Practitioners with their Research Pillar across Hertfordshire and West Essex, the Training Hub has organised a Research Forum that will take place quarterly via Teams.
This initiative is led by Scott Downham (Partner - Crocus Medical Practice ICS Clinical Lead and GP Clinical Pharmacists), with support from Dr Sarah Dixon, (Managing Partner South Street Surgery and Training Hub Clinical Lead ENH Place) and Lyn Murphy (Practice Nurse Tutor Leading on Advanced Practice).
These forums will be an opportunity for you to collaborate, learn, share, and ask questions and are open to all colleagues, whether you are currently engaging in research or simply curious to find out more.
We will add details of our next forum and a registration link below once agreed. If you would like to present or have a query or an idea please get in touch: hwetraininghubs@nhs.net.

Need help with research and evaluation?
If you’re interested in undertaking some research but don’t know where to start, the ICB's Research and Innovation team is on hand to help.
Starting in April, the team will run sessions offering advice on how to get started with research, innovation and evaluation. These one-hour meetings will also give you the chance to discuss a specific project or idea that you have.
Sessions will initially run on Mondays and Thursdays starting on Monday 8 April. Just complete a short questionnaire before booking so the Research and Innovation team understand your needs.

Useful resources
Research in primary Care.
We are the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) East of England Regional Research Delivery Network (RRDN)* and we bring together a wide variety of primary care practitioners, including GPs, Dentists, Pharmacists and Health Visitors to offer patients in primary care settings unprecedented opportunities to become involved in high quality clinical studies. This involves innovations in prevention, diagnosis, treatment and health care delivery in the community.
We support the set up and delivery of this research in Primary Care settings.
The Primary Care Specialty has successfully recruited across a range of conditions and complex interventions.
