Early Career GPs

This section of our website contains information for our early career GPs; those who are newly qualified or in their first 5 years of their career post Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).  Finishing your training is an exciting time but we know the transition from trainee to GP can sometimes be challenging.  Our aim is to help support you through a range of initiatives which you can find out more about below.

Dr Ankush Sachdev is our early career GP lead. He completed training in 2021 and joined the New to Practice Programme as well as working as a clinical fellow as part of the Digital First Primary Care Team in the ICB. He now works as a GP Partner in Welwyn Garden City. He provides support to and connects early career GPs across Hertfordshire and West Essex.
