New to Practice Programme:
The New to Practice Programme is a national initiative designed to provide a programme of support to all newly qualified GPs and GPNs working substantively in general practice. Our locally delivered offer is available to GPs who have completed their CCT within the last twelve months and GPNs who are either newly qualified or new to practice within the last twelve months, working in the Hertfordshire and West Essex ICS.
Those that decide to take up the offer receive funded mentorship and funded CPD opportunities of one session per week (pro rata) for up to two years, in order to develop experience and support transition into the workforce, discuss practice management skills, quality improvement, remote working and leadership. New to practice fellows will also benefit from access to networking opportunities.
