Funded CPD places may be available from Thames Valley and Wessex Primary Care School for Allied Health Professionals (AHPs), nurses and nursing associates working in Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West, please check before booking via the link if this applies to you. (Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West continuing professional development - Working across Wessex) – if you are not from these counties or an AHP, Nurse of Nursing associate you will not be eligible for this funding.

In-person: Introduction to Immunisation – 2 days training
Dates: Tuesday 16th – Wednesday 17th June, 9am – 4pm
Venue: voco Oxford Thames Hotel, Henley Road, Sandford-on-Thames, Oxford, OX4 4GX
Cost: £390 – included two full days of training, lunch, refreshments, course materials and free parking at the venue.

In-Person: Immunisation & Influenza Updates – 1 day training
Dates: Tuesday 7th July, 9.30am – 3.30pm or Wednesday 8th July, 9.30am – 3.30pm
Cost: £160 – includes training, lunch, refreshments, course materials and free parking at the venue.
A 1 day in-person immunisation & influenza update training course. This training is primarily targeted at healthcare professionals and healthcare support workers who already administer, promote and/or advise about vaccines. 5 CPD hours of participatory learning. The content is aligned with UKHSA (Health Security Agency) National Minimum Standards and Core Curriculum for Vaccination Training - GOV.UK.
Content Areas: Any recommended changes to practice, policies and guidelines in relation to:
1. Vaccine schedules
2. Vaccine-preventable diseases
3. Current issues
4. Communication
5. Legal issues
6. Storage and handling of vaccines

How to apply for funding and apply for this course

The Training Hub will review and respond to your funding request. If funding is approved, it will be your responsibility to book your place on the course you wish to attend, we will provide the instructions to do this. Applications will be reviewed in order of the course date (soonest courses first) and date received. If you have any questions, please contact us at hwetraininghub@nhs.net.
Please note, you will need to send us your booking confirmation within 1 week of your funding being approved as places are limited. Failure to do this will result in your funding being withdrawn and you will need to reapply.
