Living Well Course Training Day

Venue: Christ Church Ware, New Rd, Ware SG12 7BS

The Living Well Course has been developed by Dr Richard Pile, Dr Nicola Phillips and Dr Jen West.

A full day of training in lifestyle medicine and to learn how to deliver courses for your patients!

The course will cover:

• The Six Pillars of Health

• Behavioural change

• The practicalities of setting up a Living Well Course locally

• Ongoing support

• Have you heard about the 6 pillars of Lifestyle Medicine, but struggle to get even one of them into your consultations?

• Or is Lifestyle Medicine something you want to learn more about, but just haven't had the time?

• Do you wonder how best to involve new members of the team to manage workload?

• Do you find that you spend time every day repeating the same message about lifestyle change to different people?

Group work improves patient participation and satisfaction, leads to better health outcomes, and reduces demands for appointments. And the best person to run groups may not be the GP.

Teams of 2-4 from the same surgery/ PCN/ organisation are positively encouraged. Open to all who have enthusiasm, time and/or lived experience.

It's an intensive day for people with an interest in Lifestyle Medicine but little previous study or experience.

It's a practical course - lots of time to talk and network. There will be movement slots, refreshments and lunch.

How to apply for funding and apply for this course

Please complete the MS Form available at the following link: Funding Request MS Form

The Training Hub will review and respond to your funding request. If funding is approved, it will be your responsibility to book your place on the course you wish to attend, we will provide the instructions to do this. Applications will be reviewed in order of the course date (soonest courses first) and date received. If you have any questions, please contact us at hwetraininghub@nhs.net.

Please note, you will need to send us your booking confirmation within 1 week of your funding being approved as places are limited. Failure to do this will result in your funding being withdrawn and you will need to reapply.

Course cost

The cost of course per delegate is: £65

If your funding request is approved the Training Hub will cover the full cost of this course.
