The Palliative Care Development Programme (PCDP) is an 8-day course running Jan-Mar 2026,

With growing interest and enthusiasm around this topic, we are excited to deliver another comprehensive Nature, Health and Well-being CPD course in March 2026.  The course dives into core concepts, such as the role of nature in mental and physical health, innovative green social prescribing practices, the connection between nature-based solutions and public health, and emerging research on nature's pathways to well-being.

Our interdisciplinary team and guest speakers bring a diverse range of perspectives to address local, national, and global challenges.  Topics include how to integrate nature-focused health approaches into practice, how to foster inclusive and accessible green spaces, and the evidence supporting the use of nature in mental health interventions and disease prevention.

To accommodate busy professionals and international participants, the programme will be delivered remotely, allowing healthcare, environmental, and public health professionals to engage without disrupting their day-to-day work.  Our aim is to equip delegates with a critical overview of the knowledge base and skills in how to apply this research, creating a ‘community of practice’ that values the benefits that nature can have for public health.

The course provides an invaluable introduction to the interplay between health and the environment, while also contributing toward competency in in applying evidence to real-world practice and planning.  The content serves as a crucial resource for anyone preparing for advanced qualifications, seeking a refresher in this important field, and as a taster for the University of Exeter’s https://www.stfrancis.org.uk/education-learning/programme-of-events/education-events/palliative-care-development-programme-2026-pcdp

CPD points are being applied for.
