Primary Care Management Programme - Rolling programme – start anytime
The Practice Managers Association Primary Care Management Programme is designed to help aspiring and new Practice Managers. It covers all the key areas that need to be addressed when working within a busy and successful practice. It focuses on the issues that regularly arise in practice.
Training objective
To provide information and support for those working in General Practice – including managers, GPs or other members of the practice management team to understand the key areas which need to be addressed when managing a busy and successful practice.
Programme Structure:
Consisting of 15 interactive virtual 3-hour web workshops and spanning over 3-months, the PMA Primary Care Management Programme adopts a comprehensive approach with practical guidance to enable participants to map all the techniques and outcomes onto their own practice. Group work is provided on all aspects of the programme so that participants develop their understanding of the topics by interacting with colleagues from other practices.

Attendance:
While it is recommended for participants to attend all sessions to get the most out of the programme, delegates have the flexibility to choose specific sessions that align with their individual learning needs. This approach allows them to attend sessions and focus on areas they find most relevant and beneficial.
Prerequisites:
As all sessions will be conducted virtually on MS Teams, we kindly request that all delegates come prepared with a camera and a microphone. This prerequisite is essential to facilitate active engagement, participation, and interaction throughout the programme. Having a camera and microphone will enable you to fully benefit from the interactive nature of the sessions, including group work and discussions.

The Training Hub will review and respond to your funding request. If funding is approved, it will be your responsibility to book your place on the course you wish to attend, we will provide the instructions to do this. Applications will be reviewed in order of the course date (soonest courses first) and date received. If you have any questions, please contact us at hwetraininghub@nhs.net.
Please note, you will need to send us your booking confirmation within 1 week of your funding being approved as places are limited. Failure to do this will result in your funding being withdrawn and you will need to reapply.
Course cost
The approximate course per delegate is: £1,200
If your funding request is approved the Training Hub will cover the full cost of this course.
