We work with a wide group of stakeholders throughout the ICS patch as well as the East of England including:
Health Education England (HEE)
Higher Educational Institutions (HEI)
External Training Providers
The HWE Health and Care Academy
Clinical Directors of Primary Care Networks
General Practices
Clinical leads including our Wise5 and First5 clinical leads for the East and West of the ICS
By having such close working relationships with these stakeholders, we are able to identify where the training needs are and develop projects and schemes to support these needs.
What we are working on:

We achieve this through:
Working closely with Health Education England in order to identify where the needs are for increased training capacity for all professions
Liaising with GP surgeries to find out what their capacities for training are
Offer back-fill funding to surgeries wishing to release individuals to undertake additional training
We assist in the co-ordination and realisation of the health and social care workforce across the ICS system and support the PCNs when they are planning their workforce requirements.
We are working towards increasing the numbers of multi-professional educators and supporting and developing educational programmes.
We are assisting with recruiting and supporting new roles in general practice such as First Contact Physiotherapists, Physician Associates and Social Prescribers.
Our schemes include; supported return to work, fellowship programmes, peer networks, mentoring and coaching and international GP recruitment. For further information on any of these projects, please see our what have we done page or the Training and Development section.
