First Contact Practitioner
First contact practitioner are a relatively new role in general practice. The role has been introduced to ensure that patients receive quicker diagnosis and treatments for their musculoskeletal conditions rather than having to go through their GP for a referral.
Networks:
The CSP is giving some resource to get a First Contact Physiotherapy network established in the East of England.
The view is that this will become self-sustaining community of practice, as a place of support for completion of the road map and beyond on all matters First Contact Physiotherapy.
