Within this area, there are over 140 GP surgeries and around 30 Primary Care Networks. We support all staff working within primary care including practice managers, GPs, administrative staff, allied health professionals and general practice nurses, as well as supporting the development of new roles such as social prescribers and clinical pharmacists.

The Team:

Our team is made up of the Head of Workforce as well as Clinical Leads for GP, Nursing and Pharmacists. The team is then divided into two operational programmes: Training and Education and Recruitment and Retention. Each team has a project manager, two project support officers and an administrator. Together we design, implement and assess the impact of our training and development and collaborate with the wider Primary Care teams.
