Pharmacy ARRS Roles Resources:
In May 2024, NHS England announced new opportunities to utilise ARRS funding to support the development of the pharmacy workforce (see Appendix 1). There are now four roles that are eligible for ARRS funding through the Direct Patient Care (DPC) category:
Foundation Pharmacist Designated Supervisor (DS)
Designated Prescribing Practitioner Role (DPP)
Pharmacy Technician Educational Supervisor Role
Pharmacy Technician Apprentices

ARRS Support Forum - Pharmacy Roles: Promotion of new & existing opportunities
On 26th September 2024 The Training Hub held an online session to explore ARRS pharmacy roles, including new opportunities such as Pharmacy Technician Apprentices and Education Supervision roles; these new roles aim to support the workforce pipeline & retention of existing pharmacy staff by building responsibilities.
