More information on the national initiative can be found by clicking here.
Our local new to practice programme has been developed using the NHSE/I national initiative framework to provide a programme of support to all newly qualified GPs and GPNs who have qualified within the last twelve months and are working in a substantive role in primary care in the Hertfordshire and West Essex ICS.
Those that decide to take up the offer receive funded mentorship and funded CPD opportunities of one session per week (pro rata) for up to two years. This is designed to develop experience and support transition into the workforce as well as to discuss practice management skills, quality improvement, remote working and leadership. New to practice fellows will also benefit from access to networking opportunities, facilitated by our First5 Leads and GP nurse tutors.
Details of future first five opportunities will be shared when available.
