Dementia Interpreter E-Learning Course -FULLY FUNDED

Venue: Online

Working Together To Improve Our Understanding Of Dementia

One of the biggest challenges for people that work or live with people who have dementia is the progressive change in communication that occurs throughout the stages of the disease.  In most forms of dementia the ability to speak normally will be impaired and therefore the brain will find new ways to communicate via actions, noises, behaviours and body language, this is called the Language of Dementia. The Dementia Dictionary “a freely available service” allows us to translate these into a recognised language.

Once the course is completed,  participants will become registered Level 1 Dementia Interpreters, which will enable full access to the ‘Dementia Dictionary’ and the option to take advantage of exciting opportunities that this offers, all at no additional cost.

Delegates can access the course through the QR code on the poster or by going to https://www.dementiadictionary.com/ , choosing ‘Forms’ and clicking on the West Essex COMF to register for a token to undertake the e-learning course.
